Baseball Recap: Grundy Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Grundy came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the Mount View Golden Knights.

Grundy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Talan Hall, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Hall is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Grundy's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4-1. As for Mount View, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grundy will take on Jenkins at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Wave are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Mount View, they will challenge Greenbrier West at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cavaliers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.35 runs per game on average), something the Golden Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
