Recap: Liberty Raiders vs. Meadow Bridge Wildcats
The Liberty Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 62-43 to Meadow Bridge. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Liberty in their matchups with Meadow Bridge: they've now lost five in a row.
It was another big night for Kierston Rozell, who scored 26 points along with two steals and two blocks for Meadow Bridge. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rozell has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Charity Reichard, who scored 11 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Liberty's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Meadow Bridge, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will challenge Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Independence will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Liberty surely won't give up without a fight. As for Meadow Bridge, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Man at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Meadow Bridge is facing Man at the right time seeing as Man is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
