Basketball Recap: New Britain Comes Up Short

New Britain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 73-63 to the Rome Free Academy Black Knights.

Uzziah Grimes was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 44 points and seven boards for Rome Free Academy. Those 44 points gave Grimes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Deandre Neal, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 17 points.

New Britain now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Rome Free Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

New Britain has already played their next matchup (against Farmington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rome Free Academy has already played their next contest, a 90-67 win against Woodmere Academy on the 19th.
