Basketball Game Preview: Chrisman Cardinals vs. Heritage Hawks

The Chrisman Cardinals will square off against the Heritage Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chrisman took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They secured a 39-34 W over Georgetown-Ridge Farm.

Chrisman had a senior duo take command as Taylor Jones dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds and Jaidyn Alexander posted 11 points along with eight steals and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least a third of the Cardinals' points. Adaleyn Miller was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Heritage put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Hoopeston 45-29.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Chrisman, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Things could have been worse for Chrisman, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-30 loss to Heritage when the teams last played back in December of 2024.
