Recap: St. John Lutheran Saints vs. Real Life Christian Academy Raptors

The St. John Lutheran Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 78-60 bruising from Real Life Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the loss, St. John Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: Bryce Disimile scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Disimile has scored all season. Brody Gravante was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Real Life Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jarett Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten steals. Johnson is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alex Patterson, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

St. John Lutheran has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Real Life Christian Academy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

St. John Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Real Life Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Crossroads Christian at 4:30 p.m. on February 8th. One thing working in Real Life Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
