Ponaganset is 9-1 against Exeter-West Greenwich since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Ponaganset Chieftains will face off against the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights at 7:00 p.m. Ponaganset has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Ponaganset is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 84-81 win over North Smithfield on Thursday.

Ponaganset relied on the efforts of Brady Miller, who went 10 of 20 on his way to 27 points and six rebounds, and Gabe Mongeon, who went 7 of 17 on his way to 21 points and three steals. Mongeon is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Pierre-Louis, who posted 11 points and three steals.

While Exeter-West Greenwich didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took their match on Sunday with ease, bagging an 85-26 victory over Block Island. The game marked the Scarlet Knights' most dominant win of the season so far.

Exeter-West Greenwich is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Ponaganset, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Ponaganset didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Exeter-West Greenwich in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win. Will Ponaganset repeat their success, or does Exeter-West Greenwich have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
