Basketball Recap: Locke Comes Up Short

Locke saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gertz-Ressler Pumas. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nathan Rios went supernova for Gertz-Ressler, going 9 of 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Pirir, who went 9 for 20 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

Locke's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Gertz-Ressler, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Locke wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-20 defeat against Lincoln on the 17th. Gertz-Ressler has also already played their next contest, a 70-32 loss against Verdugo Hills on the 17th.
