Volleyball Recap: Hoover's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

While Hoover's win against Lake wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings won by a set and slipped past the Blue Streaks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Vikings have posted against the Blue Streaks since September 23, 2021.

Hoover wouldn't go down easily and took Lake into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-22, 24-26, 19-25, 15-7.

Rachel Jankowski paced Hoover's offense, picking up 20 kills. Jankowski got some help from Claire Jurica and her 38 assists. Sophia Godzich controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Despite the loss, Lake still got an impressive performance from Luci Haddad, who had 23 digs and seven aces. Haddad has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Hedrick, who had 21 assists and seven digs.
