Softball Recap: Greater Lowell Tech Comes Up Short

After flying high against Shawsheen Valley Tech on Thursday, Greater Lowell Tech came back down to earth. The Gryphons fell just short of the Lowell Catholic Crusaders by a score of 3-1 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Gryphons have suffered since May 21, 2024.

Greater Lowell Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Lowell Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Greater Lowell Tech is taking a road trip to challenge Whittier RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Gryphons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lowell Catholic, they will take on Greater Lawrence Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
