Basketball Game Preview: Berkeley Yellowjackets vs. Benicia Panthers

The Berkeley Yellowjackets will be taking part in a tournament against the Benicia Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Benicia will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Berkeley extended their winning streak to four on Saturday. The Yellowjackets narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Northgate 57-55.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Benicia duked it out with Jesse M. Bethel on Saturday. The Panthers came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 69-57. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Berkeley's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Benicia, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
