Baseball Recap: St. Mary Comes Up Short

St. Mary has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.63 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They fell just short of the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado by a score of 10-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Tornado this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 on Thursday.

Luke Sims made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

St. Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Paducah Tilghman, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Mary will welcome McCracken County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paducah Tilghman, they will take on Lyon County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
