Baseball Recap: Wenatchee Takes a Loss

Wenatchee and Davis pushed the score to 14-7 the last time they played Davis, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Panthers took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. That makes it the first time this season the Panthers have let down their home crowd.

Wenatchee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Godfrey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Wenatchee's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Davis, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-17.

While Wenatchee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
