Baseball Recap: Huntingtown Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Huntingtown barely beat McDonough the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Hurricanes' pitchers stepped up to hand the Rams a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by eight runs or more this season.

Huntingtown has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for McDonough, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Huntingtown will face off against rival La Plata at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hurricanes 2.2, the Warriors 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, McDonough is set to take on their familiar foe Thomas Stone at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
