Baseball Recap: Cape Hatteras Takes a Loss

After flying high against Columbia last Monday, Cape Hatteras came back down to earth. The Hurricanes lost 10-3 to the Eastern Christian HomeSchool Trailblazers on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their meetings with the Trailblazers: they've now lost three in a row.

Cape Hatteras saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trae Wyatt, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Cape Hatteras' loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Cape Hatteras and Eastern Christian HomeSchool will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Hurricanes see the field they'll take on Columbia at 5:00 p.m. on May 1. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, their break will end when they face Greenville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
