Recap: Ellsworth Lancers vs. Wolverine Wildcats

The Ellsworth Lancers won the last time they faced the Wolverine Wildcats, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Ellsworth enjoyed a cozy 68-52 win over Wolverine. Ellsworth pushed the score to 54-32 by the end of the third, a deficit Wolverine cut but never quite recovered from.

Patrick Puroll was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Snyder, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Ellsworth is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Wolverine, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Ellsworth didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-39 defeat vs. Alanson on the 9th. Wolverine will be playing in front of their home fans against Boyne Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
