Baseball Recap: Father Lopez's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Father Lopez was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seabreeze Sandcrabs. The Green Wave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sandcrabs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Father Lopez saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Grim, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

With the loss, Father Lopez broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-14. As for Seabreeze, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Father Lopez didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-9 victory against Lake Highland Prep on the 9th. As for Seabreeze, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-5 defeat against St. Augustine on the 10th.
