Softball Recap: Peaster Drops Season-High Score on Millsap

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Peaster). They blew past the Millsap Bulldogs 23-3 on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Payton Kreh looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those hits were her first of the season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Selah Salmons, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Young, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Peaster was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .343 or higher in five consecutive games.

Peaster's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Millsap, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7-1 record this season.

Peaster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-3 win against Comanche on the 21st. As for Millsap, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against Breckenridge on the 21st.
