Baseball Recap: West Creek Takes a Loss

West Creek was the 19-0 winner over Clarksville Christian when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. West Creek fell just short of Clarksville Christian by a score of 13-12 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Coyote have lost by just one run.

Aiden Urdiales was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Eydan Velez Valle also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

West Creek now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Clarksville Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Creek will face off against Henry County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clarksville Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Zion Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clarksville Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Zion Christian Academy has averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
