Softball Recap: Apollo Ridge Vikings vs. Leechburg Blue Devils        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Apollo Ridge gave their fans yet another huge  win on Monday. They never let the Leechburg Blue Devils onto the board and left with  an   11-0  victory. That's more bragging rights for Apollo Ridge, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Jocelyn Snyder made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Snyder has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Snyder was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Malea Veneziani, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.  Camdyn Kowalczyk was another key contributor,  going 2-for-4 with a  triple, a  run,  and a  double.
 Apollo Ridge has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record  this season. As for Leechburg, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Apollo Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leechburg, they will head out on the road to  take on  Greensburg Central Catholic at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
