Volleyball Game Preview: Peyton Panthers vs. Calhan Bulldogs

Peyton hasn't had much luck against Calhan recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Peyton can't be too worried about heading out to take on Calhan: they just beat Fountain Valley at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. The Panthers came out on top against the Danes by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Peyton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-23, 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Calhan hadn't done well against Limon recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Badgers. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Badgers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Calhan's got stronger as the match went on, holding Limon to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-12.

Peyton's record is now 6-11. As for Calhan, their record now sits at 8-10.
