Volleyball Recap: Kings Mountain Starts Season with Victory Against Highland Tech

Kings Mountain took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Highland Tech Rams. The victory continues a trend for the Mountaineers in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won four in a row.

While Kings Mountain won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-15, 25-20.

Ruby Osborne paced Kings Mountain's offense, picking up 13 kills. Osborne got some help from Camden Pasour and her 22 assists. Osborne was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

After both having extra time off, Kings Mountain and Franklin will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highland Tech, they will face off against East Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
