The Hidden Valley Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hidden Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

While Hidden Valley's win against Northside wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Titans had just enough and edged out the Vikings 2-1 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Titans have posted since April 6, 2024.

ALEXIS MCFARLAND made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

MCFARLAND wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was BAILEY HALL, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Lord Botetourt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 7-3 to Staunton River. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lord Botetourt's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Hidden Valley, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Everything went Hidden Valley's way against Lord Botetourt in their previous matchup back in March, as Hidden Valley made off with a 12-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
