Basketball Game Preview: Mt. Olive Wildcats vs. Staunton Bulldogs

The Mt. Olive Wildcats will take on the Staunton Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Olive has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Mt. Olive is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Sangamon Valley/Tri-City 53-38 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Staunton blew past Pana, posting a 59-17 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Mt. Olive's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Staunton, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Mt. Olive, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-36 loss to Staunton when the teams last played on Monday. Can Mt. Olive avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
