Softball Recap: Lake View Wildcats vs. Rickover Naval Seadragons
Lake View put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Rickover Naval Seadragons as the Lake View Wildcats made off with a 16-6 victory. Lake View's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Amani Giannopoulos made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Giannopoulos was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Cyerra-Cymone Valenzuela and Syrena Robles did most of the damage at the plate: Valenzuela scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Robles scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
