Basketball Recap: Kingwood Park Comes Up Short

Kingwood Park lost against Foster back in December of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Kingwood Park Panthers fell to the Foster Falcons 47-43. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the Falcons are ranked 173rd).

Foster was led to victory by Camran Bateman and Daniel Humphrey. Bateman went 6 for 11 on his way to 17 points, while Humphrey posted six points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaron Martin, who had four points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

Kingwood Park's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Foster, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Kingwood Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-46 win against Alvin on the 28th. As for Foster, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-36 victory against Clear Brook on the 28th.
