Baseball Recap: King's Takes a Loss

King entered their game against South Whidbey on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. King's fell just short of South Whidbey by a score of 3-2. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

King's saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jakob Fowler, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Fowler's first of the season.

King's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for South Whidbey, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

While King's had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
