Basketball Recap: Jamiya Gibson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northwest Halifax over North Edgecombe + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Northwest Halifax and North Edgecombe, and North Edgecombe kept the tradition alive. The Vikings came up short against the Warriors on Wednesday, falling 68-48. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamiya Gibson, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Kalasha Macon was another key player, putting up eight points and nine boards.

Northwest Halifax's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Northwest Halifax is taking a road trip to face off against Rocky Mount Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Edgecombe, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hobgood Charter at 6:00 p.m.
