Basketball Game Preview: St. Pius X Sartans vs. Highland Hornets

The St. Pius X Sartans will challenge the Highland Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Pius X is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.

Last Friday, St. Pius X beat Highland 58-45.

St. Pius X will need to focus on slowing down Juan Limas, one of several Highland players who made an impact when they last played. He almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. What's more, Limas also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Owen Cheng, who posted 11 points.

St. Pius X's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for Highland, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-13 record this season.
