It was a good run, but Brookhaven unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 61-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pearl Pirates. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 60-50 to the Pirates when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brookhaven lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was NICHOLAS GAMBLE, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was SEMAJ ROSS, who posted four points and seven rebounds.

Brookhaven's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Pearl, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Brookhaven will take on Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.78 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pearl, they will challenge Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
