Soccer Recap: Steele Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Steele can now relate to. They lost 5-1 to the Hoover Vikings on Wednesday. Steele were red-hot offensively heading into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three matchups prior), but Hoover's defense proved too tough.

Steele's goal came courtesy of Carter Boone, who's now up to two this season.

The defeat snapped Steele's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 11-5-2 record. As for Hoover, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3-5.

Steele does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hoover, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against North Royalton on the 25th.
