Basketball Game Preview: Mill Springs Academy vs. Cumberland Academy of Georgia Cyclones

Mill Springs Academy will venture away from home to face off against Cumberland Academy of Georgia at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Back in November, Mill Springs Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Northwest Classical Academy, but they still walked away with a 59-53 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mill Springs Academy.

Meanwhile, Cumberland Academy of Georgia didn't have too much trouble with Varsity Opponent on Wednesday as they won 48-29.

Mill Springs Academy better focus on containing Raj Petigara and Maxwell Daniel as the pair were huge in Cumberland Academy of Georgia's win. Petigara posted 22 points, while Daniel scored 13 points. The contest was Petigara's third in a row with at least 22 points.

Mill Springs Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cumberland Academy of Georgia, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything went Mill Springs Academy's way against Cumberland Academy of Georgia in their previous meeting back in January, as Mill Springs Academy made off with a 64-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mill Springs Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
