It was a good run, but North Fort Myers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost to the Cape Coral Seahawks on the road by a 59-44 margin. If the Red Knights were looking for revenge after losing 66-58 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, North Fort Myers still got an impressive performance from Robert Ballesteros, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Scott, who posted eight points.

North Fort Myers' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for Cape Coral, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

North Fort Myers will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Estero at 4:55 p.m. on January 1, 2025. North Fort Myers is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season. As for Cape Coral, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-46 defeat against Southeast on the 26th.
