Volleyball Game Preview: Malibu Sharks vs. Granada Hills Charter Highlanders

The Malibu Sharks will venture away from home to challenge the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Granada Hills Charter will be up against a hot Malibu team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Malibu put the hurt on Nordhoff with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday.

Malibu never let Nordhoff on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 25-20.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Granada Hills Charter and Taft meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. Everything went Granada Hills Charter's way against Taft as Granada Hills Charter made off with a 3-0 win.

While Granada Hills Charter won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 25-16.

The victory got Granada Hills Charter back to even at 9-9. As for Malibu, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
