Basketball Recap: Taft's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Taft needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Nick Andrade. The Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 60-44 victory over the Del Oro Suns on Monday thanks in part to Andrade, who shot 59% from the field to rack up 33 points and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Taft's points.

Reed Miller was another key player, putting up four points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Taft's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Del Oro, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Taft didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-53 loss against Delano on the 20th. As for Del Oro, they have also already played their next game, a 71-57 victory against East Bakersfield on the 20th.
