Football Recap: Richland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Richland and Sumner squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Richland had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Spartans and fell 49-14. While losing is never fun, the Bombers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Spartans are ranked fifth).

Lance McGee had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 166 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries for Sumner. McGee has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Pope, who picked up 103 receiving yards and one TD.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Sumner, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sumner, they will square off against Glacier Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Grizzlies have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
