Wayne posted their closest victory since September 16th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lincoln County Panthers 3-2. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Wayne took Lincoln County into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 21-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Lincoln County still got an impressive performance from Skylar Adkins, who had ten digs.

Wayne's win bumped their record up to 9-19-1. As for Lincoln County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-20-1 record this season.

Wayne will welcome Huntington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lincoln County, they will challenge Riverside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
