Basketball Recap: Jay Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Jay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the T.R. Miller Tigers on the road by a 53-37 margin. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Despite the loss, Jay still got an impressive performance from Tanner Mandell, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Mandell's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Morris, who posted nine points and four steals.

Jay's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for T.R. Miller, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Jay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-39 defeat against Walton on the 9th. As for T.R. Miller, they will head out on the road to challenge Andalusia at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
