Basketball Recap: Marlboro County Takes a Loss

Marlboro County and Keenan squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Marlboro County had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 62-23 loss at the hands of the Keenan Raiders. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Keenan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brian Sumpter out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Marcus Simmons Jr was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 10 points.

Marlboro County's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Keenan, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8.

Marlboro County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Keenan, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-46 victory against Dillon on the 20th.
