Softball Game Preview: Tuscarora Huskies vs. Loudoun Valley Vikings

For the second straight game, Tuscarora will face off against Loudoun Valley. The Huskies will host the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tuscarora is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

While Tuscarora's victory against Loudoun Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Huskies narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Vikings 9-8.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Wools, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Claire Chamberlin, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tuscarora kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
