It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mishawaka can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Penn Kingsmen on Thursday. While the Cavemen didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Kingsmen 25-19 in the first set.

Mishawaka started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-11, 25-10, 25-22.

Even though they lost, Mishawaka was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. This was only their first loss (out of 11 games) when they serve at least ten aces.

Penn was led to victory by Abby Lane and Abbi Gingerich. Lane had 32 digs, while Gingerich had 15 digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Gingerich is now averaging an impressive 12.4 assists per game.
