Baseball Recap: Pilot Point Comes Up Short

Pilot Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-4 to the Lindsay Knights.

Pilot Point saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fernando Marmolejo, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Marmolejo a new career-high in runs. Another was David Pickrel, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Pilot Point's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lindsay, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bearcats take on the Tigers at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Lindsay, they will welcome Saint Jo at 5:00 p.m. on March 4th.
