Fort Ann and Whitehall are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Cardinals will head out to take on the Railroaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Ann is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

On Sunday, Fort Ann didn't have quite enough to beat Hartford Central and fell 9-8. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Tanagers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Fort Ann saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Ladd, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another was Chase Tolene, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Whitehall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Salem, falling 13-1.

Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Fort Ann, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Fort Ann beat Whitehall 6-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Railroaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
