Baseball Recap: St. Anthony Comes Up Short

St. Anthony and Glendora squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but St. Anthony had to settle for second. They lost 11-5 to the Tartans. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Saints, who until this game were averaging 3.97 runs allowed.

St. Anthony saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidann Ruiz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

St. Anthony's loss dropped their record down to 20-8-1. As for Glendora, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.

St. Anthony does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glendora, they will square off against Katella at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
