Football Recap: Smith County Takes a Loss

Smith County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers, falling 25-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-0 last Friday.

The critical scores for Warren County came from Ariyanna Rippy, Chloe Wanamaker, Brinlee Griffith, and Hillary Smith.

Smith County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Warren County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Smith County will take on rival Stone Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Warren County is set to face off against their familiar foe White County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers 10.1, the Warriors 13.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
