Baseball Game Preview: Clarendon Hall Saints vs. Orangeburg Prep Indians

The Clarendon Hall Saints are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against the Orangeburg Prep Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Clarendon Hall is leaving town to face Orangeburg Prep after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Clarendon Hall fell just short of Orangeburg Prep by a score of 4-2 on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

For Orangeburg Prep's part, Charlie McCutchen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. That's the most strikeouts McCutchen has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Mason Tyler was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Clarendon Hall couldn't quite finish off Orangeburg Prep in their previous meeting on Monday and fell 4-2. Can Clarendon Hall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
