Soccer Recap: Cardinal Newman Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Cardinal Newman was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 4-1 to the Dwyer Panthers. Cardinal Newman were not able to make up for their defeat to Dwyer from their previous meeting back in November of 2019.

Cardinal Newman's goal came courtesy of Miguel Rendon, which was the first he's scored this season.

Cardinal Newman's loss dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Dwyer, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Cardinal Newman will face off against Katz Yeshiva at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dwyer, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Martin County at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
