Basketball Recap: Terre Haute South Vigo Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cloverdale on Monday, Terre Haute South Vigo came back down to earth. The Terre Haute South Vigo Braves lost 47-26 to the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost seven in a row.

Avery Cassell was Terre Haute South Vigo's leading scorer, having posted six points. Karizma English-Malone took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Leading Terre Haute North Vigo to victory were Zanariae White and Charlie Walker. White almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds, while Walker almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Lanning, who posted nine points.

Terre Haute South Vigo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Terre Haute South Vigo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-36 win against Greencastle on the 2nd. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-32 loss against Northview on the 23rd.
