Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Braylan Dawson and Tyler Smith Lead Wirt County to Victory

Wirt County won the last time they faced Richwood and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wirt County Tigers came out on top against the Richwood Lumberjacks by a score of 62-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Wirt County was led to victory by Tyler Smith and Braylan Dawson. Smith on his way to 16 points in addition to six steals and five boards, while Dawson to rack up 18 points and five rebounds. Smith is becoming a predictor of Wirt County's success: when he posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 6-11 when he doesn't). Alex Bevel was another key player, putting up seven points along with six assists and five steals.

Wirt County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.
