Soccer Recap: Erie vs. Liberty
With a playoff game on the line, Erie rose to the challenge on Saturday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Erie Tigers who were credited with the win. The Erie Tigers got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Liberty Lancers's four.
Erie's victory bumped their record up to 9-5-2. As for Liberty, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3-1.
Erie will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Regis Jesuit at 6:30 p.m. Regis Jesuit will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Erie surely won't give up without a fight. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
