Volleyball Recap: Wessington Springs Takes a Loss

Wessington Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Iroquois/Lake Preston. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Iroquois/Lake Preston earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

While Wessington Springs was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20.

Wessington Springs' loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Iroquois/Lake Preston, with the win, they broke their six-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-11.

Wessington Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against James Valley Christian on the 4th. As for Iroquois/Lake Preston, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket on the 4th.
